LTTs

Two LTT (Learning, Teaching, and Training) activities were held as part of the MAP4N project, both designed to engage NEETs and youth workers in MAPs entrepreneurship and foster practical skills development. These activities took place in Cordoba, Spain, and Istanbul, Turkey, with a focus on enhancing knowledge of agricultural business practices, sustainable methods, and entrepreneurial strategies.

LTT 1 – Cordoba, Spain (February 4-17, 2024)

The first LTT took place in Cordoba, Spain, where participants gathered for a two-week training program. The agenda included an orientational meeting, a city tour, and visits to local botanical gardens and agricultural sites, such as Real Jardín Botánico de Córdoba and Finca El Aguilarejo. A key highlight was the ZUMAYA Creativo and Palacio de Viana visits, which introduced participants to the practical and cultural applications of MAPs in the region.

Participants engaged in hands-on activities and workshops focusing on MAPs entrepreneurship, with real-world examples and case studies from the region. The training sessions offered an in-depth understanding of agricultural businesses, the MAPs sector, and sustainable practices, allowing participants to gain valuable insights into running a successful agri-business.

Number of Participants: 20 youth workers and NEETs took part in this training, gaining essential skills in both formal and non-formal educational settings

LTT 2 – Istanbul, Turkey (April 14-28, 2024)

The second LTT was hosted by Yıldız Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey, and ran for two weeks. The agenda included workshops on business models, design thinking, entrepreneurship, and sales strategies for startups. Participants were also involved in field visits to sites such as Atatürk Arboretumu, where they applied their learning in real-life agricultural environments.

The training focused on entrepreneurial skills essential for starting and scaling a business. Workshops like SWOT analysis, user-focused product design, and success stories from Yıldız Technopark entrepreneurs helped participants develop a deeper understanding of business development and innovation in the MAPs sector.

Number of Participants: 15 participants took part, including NEETs and youth workers, who benefited from expert-led sessions, practical exercises, and opportunities to connect with entrepreneurs and industry experts.

These LTTs played a critical role in the success of the MAP4N project by providing participants with both the theoretical knowledge and practical experience needed to succeed in MAPs entrepreneurship. By engaging in hands-on workshops, field visits, and entrepreneurial challenges, participants gained the necessary tools to start and grow sustainable agri-businesses.
